For CPA firms serving restaurants & tipped businesses

Your whole book's tip credits, from one upload.

Send your tipped clients one link. They upload their payroll, we run §45B on each one and hand back a filing-ready Form 8846 with the workpaper behind every line. You review, file, and bill your fee. We never file, never sign, and never solicit your client.

Your workspace. Every tipped client, what their credit is worth, and exactly where it stands.

How it works

One link out. Filing-ready packets back.

No integration to configure, no data entry, no chasing. Four steps, and only two of them are yours.

You

1. Send one link

Add your tipped clients and send them your firm's upload link. Same link for everyone — we match each upload by the email on your client list.

Your client

2. They upload payroll

Your client drops a full-year payroll export. Step-by-step ADP guide on the page; any CSV or Excel works. SSNs are stripped on the way in.

Us

3. We build the packet

Per-employee $5.15/hr floor test, wage-base treatment, a 941/W-3 reconciliation worksheet, and Form 8846 filled in — in seconds, not hours.

You

4. You review and file

Check the workpaper, file it with the return, mark it filed. Your client gets told automatically. Then you bill your fee.

Your client's side

They upload once and can see where it stands.

The page carries your firm's name, not ours. Your client uploads one file, gets an emailed receipt with their estimated credit, and a link that tracks the work as you move it along. When you mark it filed, they're told — automatically.

  • No account, no passwordOne link, one file, five minutes. Nothing to install.
  • They stop emailing you for statusThe tracker answers "where is it?" without you in the loop.
  • Wrong file? They just re-uploadUnreadable exports fail loudly with the reason, not silently.
  • SSNs never reach the packetStripped on ingest, before anything is processed or stored.

941 / W-3 reconciliation tying the tips to what was actually filed

Statutory cites for every line, with the source data behind them

What you file

Not a spreadsheet — the actual form, filled.

Every study ships as a packet you could hand to a reviewer: Form 8846 completed, the per-employee workpaper behind each line, and a worksheet pre-labelled to the 941 and W-3 boxes you tie the tips back to. If a number is ever questioned, the answer is in the packet.

Per-employee floor test

The $5.15/hr test on every worker — only creditable tips count.

Wage-base treatment

Tips above the Social Security wage base credited at 1.45%, not 7.65%.

941 / W-3 reconciliation worksheet

Pre-labelled to the boxes you tie the tips back to.

Statutory cites

§45B and the Form 8846 instruction behind every line.

You're not outsourcing judgment. You're skipping the reconciliation.

We never file.No returns, no 8879s, no e-file, no signatures. Ever.
We never solicit your client. No marketing, no selling, no going around you. The only mail they get is a receipt and a filed notice — both triggered by you, both signed with your firm's name.

Questions we actually get

Am I signing something a mill would sign?+

No. We never solicit your client, never file, never sign, and never take a percentage of anyone's refund. Our fee is a flat $100 per packet you download to file — never a percentage of anyone's fee or credit. Your client hears from us exactly twice, both triggered by you and both under your firm's name: a receipt when their payroll lands, and a notice when you mark it filed. Every figure in the packet is an estimate for you to review; you make the eligibility call.

I already know §45B. What does this actually save me?+

The hours, not the knowledge. The per-employee floor test, the wage-base treatment, the 941/W-3 reconciliation worksheet, and the completed Form 8846 — for every tipped client in one pass instead of a few hours each.

What if my client's payroll export is a mess?+

Upload it and find out — it's free to run. We read ADP exports and any CSV or Excel with per-employee hours, wages, and reported tips. If a file isn't readable, it fails with the reason rather than producing a hollow number, and your client can re-upload. If they can't get an export at all, totals from a W-3 or four 941s work.

Does my client have to create an account?+

No. They get a link, enter the email you have on file, upload one file, and they're done. The email match is what attaches the upload to the right client on your list.

What does it cost my firm?+

A flat $100 per packet you download to file — no subscription, no per-seat charge, no percentage. Running your whole book and seeing every credit is free; you're only charged when you download a packet to file, and never for a study you decide not to pursue. You add a card once (a 30-second Stripe setup, no bank or SSN), and you bill your restaurant clients whatever you like.

Prior years?+

The credit is generally claimable on amended returns within the normal statute, so an open prior year is often the largest single engagement. You decide which years to amend.

Build your restaurant FICA practice.

Import your book, run every tipped client, and see the credits before you commit. Nothing is ever owed until you file.

Talk to sales

Tell us roughly how many tipped clients you serve and we'll run a free scan on a few of them, show you the numbers, and price it against how you bill. No integration, no software to set up — you send an ADP export, we send back a study.

Give us an email or a phone - whichever you prefer.

PAID is a software calculator — not a CPA, law firm, or tax-preparation service. We compute estimated federal payroll tax credits and prepare workpapers and IRS forms for a licensed practitioner to review. We do not file, sign, e-file, or submit anything to the IRS, and we do not give tax, legal, or accounting advice. Every figure is an estimate the reviewing practitioner approves and files.
