How P.A.I.D. works
P.A.I.D. is calculation software with a CPA handoff. We find and estimate the federal payroll credits your business may be owed and package them for your tax professional. We are not a CPA, law firm, or tax preparer, and we don't file or give advice.
1 · Upload your report or enter your data
Export your payroll report (we have step-by-step instructions for ADP) and upload it - we read hours, wages, and tips per employee - or just type the figures off your books. We import only the numbers the math needs - never SSNs, names, or health details.
2 · We estimate your yield
Our engines screen all eight credits - §45B, §45R, §45E/§45T, §44, §45S, §45F, §45P, and WOTC - then de-duplicate any overlapping wages so a dollar is never counted twice.
3 · You confirm eligibility
You attest to the facts only you can vouch for (written policy, qualifying leave, controlled-group entities). Those attestations are signed and attached to the packet.
4 · We generate a CPA-ready packet
Free. We email the IRS-form schedules for the credits you qualify for (8846, 8941, 8881, 8826, 8994, 8932, 8882 …) to you and your tax professional, each marked “Estimate - Pending CPA Confirmation.”
5 · Your CPA reviews and files
Your designated tax professional verifies the figures and files them. You pay our fee only after the credit is realized.
For tax professionals
The packet your client hands you is a calculation audit trail, not a filing. It shows each credit's inputs, the applied rules and rates, a wage-allocation ledger proving no double-counting, and the client's signed eligibility attestations (with timestamp and IP).
You - the tax professional - remain the preparer of record. P.A.I.D. does not sign returns, does not transmit to the IRS, and does not represent the taxpayer. Every figure is an estimate for your review, adjustment, and filing on Form 3800 with the relevant schedule (8846 / 8941 / 8881 / 8826).
You pay only when it's realized
Generating and downloading your packet is free. Our Data Analysis & Software Access Fee - 15% of the credit, dropping to 10% for each additional location you run on P.A.I.D. (and for partners with 3+ referrals) - is charged only after your CPA files and you mark the credit as filed/received. It is a fee for software, not a contingent tax-preparation fee.
